Case's Prayer!!!

Case is our little prayer man...every time we sit down for a meal he's the first to pray & usually says Logan's prayer too. His prayers usually consist of the same thing...
"and me thank you Jesus for the food, Amen."
However, this past week he added a little bit extra to his prayer and since we all know how powerful prayer is...I think we are in trouble...this is what he said,
"and me thank you Jesus for the food, Amen...Oh, help Jesus bring me a baby sister, Amen."
I about choked on my food (since I had already started eating because I thought the prayer was over after the first "Amen"). For the past 3 or 4 days, a baby sister is all he can talk about...hmmm...I hope he doesn't know something that we don't know.
I can tell you one thing though, his prayer has inspired me to pray a little harder.
"Please Jesus don't bring that baby sister until you know that we are ready, financially, physically & especially mentally, Amen."

(And we will be taking extra precautions for awhile...separate beds on opposite sides of the house.)

I did shoot a little video of Case talking about the baby sister he wants Jesus to bring him...what he wanted to name her and so on...it was really cute. I have been trying to upload it to blogger for about a week now and have had no luck...so whenever I actually get it uploaded, I think you are all going to like it.

Logan's 1st Birthday!!!

We had a nice little party for Logan with lots of family and friends last saturday (thank you to all of you that came & for the nice things he received-both boys have had so much fun with them already)...he was a little hesitant at first with the cake but once he got past the "uckiness" of sticking his hands in it, he really liked it-boy did he like it! Here's some pictures of the big day...

He really didn't know about this...apparently I keep him too clean when he's eating.

I think Case was giving him some advice...he knows how to get dirty when he eats...no problem.

He finally realized it was okay to get a little messy but he still preferred to use a fork.

Sa-tis-fied!!!

Clean up time...

Case & Logan with Great Grandma Schaper

He didn't care too much about opening the presents...thankfully big brother was there to help. He made sure no present went unopened.

Walking...

Logan actually took his first steps about a month ago but about a week or so ago he decided he would just let go & walk. I forgot how cute it was...

I thought these were pretty cute. Hope you can see the little bits of humor in them...

Next Stop Walking...

Logan has been pulling himself up for awhile & clumsily walking while holding someone's hands but he learned he can do it all by himself today. It took only 2 times of showing him how but he's now got the pushing & walking thing down & he's doing it very well...here's a little video.

Ring Ring Ring...

Here's a cute little video I got today of Case talking on the phone...He talked to his Aunt Becca for about 10 minutes before I thought "get the camera stupid". Thankfully he was very cooperative.

Let's hear it for Logan...

Logan's favortie song is "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and whenever he hears it, he stops whatever he is doing (playing, crying, anything) and just smiles. Since we always end the song by clapping and saying "yay...yay" it's no suprise that he picked this up so fast. He's so smart!

Is there a Doctor in the house???

Today I was feeling a little under the weather & as I was curled up on the couch, Case came up & said, " you sick mom". Before I could even answer him, he was kissing my head & asking me, "feel better mom". I said I did although really I didn't but you can't tell a little guy "nope you didn't help at all". A short time later as I was still laying on the couch Case told me "my daddy need take you to doctor" then he ran off to get his doctor kit. He worked on me for awhile & amazingly I really did start to feel better soon after-could it have been a miracle...maybe or else just good timing...either way he thought he fixed me. He's such a sweet natured little guy, always thinking of others. Here's a few pictures of Doctor Schaper & after he checked me out he gave himself a quick checkup. I think he might need a little more schooling everything seemed to either go in his ear or his mouth.

Introducing.....

...the newest member of our family "Wrigley".
He is a 6 week old mastiff pup & he is super sweet.

Case is a big fan of "his dog". If you ask Case he'll tell you
that his name is "ABCDEFG". We thought about it but thought that
would be awfully hard to yell.

He's a hard working boy...

When I came into the Case & Logan's room the other day I found Logan holding a screwdriver (don't worry Mama Anderson it wasn't a real one). He looked like he was working hard on the walker toy. It was so cute & I know it would have made his Dad proud (& his Papas too). He didn't get hurt at the end of the video like it looks-he is a very tough little guy.

Make a Joyful noise...

We think Case is super talented. He can play ball, he can dance & he can sing...boy can he sing. We thought we would share this cute little "singing concert" Case put on last night in the bathtub with all of you. Hope you enjoy!! By the way just so you know the first song he sings is "Sorry" by Buckcherry then he sings "Bartender" by Rehab & then I think you can figure out the rest. Luke taught Case "Take me out to the Ballgame" so Case thinks it goes "take my daddy to ballgame...". I thought that it was a very cute interputation. I think the sound was messed up a little on our camera but it only last for a second or so.

So may I present Case Eli Schaper in his bathtime debut...

What's new with us...

I've been reminded that I haven't posted anything lately...Sorry Papa Steve, I will try harder! So here is a little update on what's new with us.

Most of you probably know that I started watching my neice and nephew in December. It was a bit of an adjustment for all of us and most days I'm just flat worn out but it's going well. I just don't have all of the leisure time that I was used to and now actually have to go to bed at a decent time. In fact most nights we are in bed by 9 which would explain why there has been only a few posts this year. But it is a blessing because I get more time with Cooper and Dannee and I also get to stay home with my boys.
In Jan. Cessna decided to cut some jobs & thankfully Luke's was not one of them. We are so very THANKFUL for that. Luke's been busy cutting wood for our furnace (which in itself is major blessing-it has cut our gas bill down to a third of what it was last year). He has also been doing a few fun things lately too. Like ordering lift kits & wheels for his jeep. And he recently got to take his jeep and 2 of his brothers to Disney, Ok to show them "just what his Jeep is made of". Apparently Neil & Joel & all of the other Jeepers (I'm not so sure that's the correct term) were very impressed. I'm sure I would have been too.
Case Eil has been up to-well no good actually. I think he has decided that he will test the waters with Mom to see just "what I am made of". It's been a close call a couple of times but so far I'm still the winner. I love that little stink pot I just wish he didn't have to live up to the "terrible two" standards. He really is a sweet little man, so considerate of others (especially baby brother). He is quite the talker these days too. He has now started saying things like "what now? what now, Mom?" whenever I call him and "I already did" when I ask him to do things. He also asked me the other day for cookies & pizza, when I told him I didn't have either he said, "you just have to make it". After explaining to him that I couldn't because I was lacking a few ingredients, he politely said, "go buy it. go to walmart & buy it". The boy has an answer for everything.
Logan Joel has officially learned to crawl. I think I blogged back in December that we thought that he was maybe scooting around. He was. Then he learned to go in reverse but now as of last week he is actually crawling. He is everywhere now. He's even trying to climb up our stairs. And have I mentioned how chunky he is these days? Most of you know but for those of you who haven't seen him in awhile he's definitely healthy. A little over 20 lbs. now, so crawling is a big feat for such a thick guy to accomplish. Logan also pulled himself up to the wall last night using the step and is working very hard to get some teeth-poor little guy. It just doesn't seem like he should be doing all of this already. We are very proud of him. Proud of both our boys.
Well that is what's going on with us right now. Hope you all are doing well.

More Christmas Pictures

Here are a couple of pictures from Christmas I thought were cute.
We were all super blessed to receive such wonderful things for Christmas. Thank you to everyone.

Mama Schaper & Kaitlynn...They're laughing because Case was running around snapping pictures with our camera. I think we have a future photographer in our house.

Jared Luke & Case Eli...I was a little suprised Jared was okay with this. He's usually not so fond of Case's slobber.

Aunt Sarah, Jenna & Uncle Adam

Couldn't keep Case out of the middle of the presents.
Logan working hard on the "computer" he got for Christmas
Case Eli was so proud of his new bike that Santa brought him. He later told us it wasn't Santa that brought it he said, "Jesus, bought me my new bike". We went with it. We figured that Jesus is better than Santa any day.

Here is Logan playing along with Case. He got a drill for Christmas (thank you Aunt Tesa(Teresa), Unc Anru(Uncle Andrew) & girls) & these are the safety glasses that came with it.

...and here's daddy playing along too. He's probably going to kill me for this picture.

The Holidays are OVER!!!!

Oh I never thought I would be so happy to see the holidays come and go. It seems more and more Christmas has become so overwhelming and drawn out and people forget the true meaning of Christmas. I know everytime I went shopping this year I seemed to find myself forgeting but Luke helped keep me grounded and reminded me that it's not how much we get our kids that matters.
We had a great holiday season and were truly blessed to be able to spend time with so much family. I think we ended up having a total of 5 Christmas celebrations this year. On the 20th we had Christmas with Luke's parents and all his brothers/sisters and their families, then we celebrated with just us on Christmas eve morning (that was really nice to have time to just be together), next we went to my parent's on Christmas eve and Christmas day, then to my Grandma's for lunch and then of course last weekend we had the big Schaper shin dig at Luke's parents house. I think @ one point they said there was about 80 people there...now that's a lot of Schapers. We had a lot of fun and I know Luke looks forward to it every year.
We also had a great (kind of suprise) visit from my brother Jeremy, his wife Summer and their "oh so cute and so sweet" baby boy Micah Rylan. It was so nice to be able to see them and I know they hear it so many times but I really do wish we lived closer so we could see them more. Logan and Micah seemed to really like "hanging out" with each other. They are about 2 months apart in age-Micah's older. Micah who has no hair really liked Logan's and his toys too. Micah army crawls so he could get to stuff a little quicker than Logan (who at that time was only scooting backward and in circles). They were so cute together. Case really took a liking to his cousin "Mat Mat" too. He was constantly in Micah's face giving him kisses.
I hope all had a wonderful holiday season too!!
Here are a few pictures I thought everyone would enjoy. I know Jer & Summer posted a couple of these on their blog but they were so cute I wanted everyone to see them.

Best buds & cousins Logan & Micah

Telling secrets already!!

They really liked each other.

Micah & Logan discovered that they had a lot of the same interests...chewing on their feet, toys & anything else they can get in their mouths.

The 3: Logan 5 mos., Dannee 31/2 mos. & Micah 7 mos...Dannee quickly realized she didn't like being in the middle of these two.

My nephew Cooper James. Don't let him fool you he's not as innocent as he looks...hahaha just kidding Matt & Dana.

Here are a couple of sweet pictures of our boys...
